Gearheads galore descended on the Aviation Museum of N.H. on Saturday, July 18 for our annual Classic Car Show. An overcast morning and a chance of rain later in the day cut into this year’s attendance, but we still welcomed more than 150 vehicles to the show
Add in spectators, and over 600 people joined in the fun, which included four food trucks and admission to the museum, where visitors kept the Elite Flight simulator hopping all day long.
By midday, with a line of showers moving in from Vermont, we opted to move up the awards ceremony so vehicle owners could get a head start on any precipitation.

Also winning big was attendee Jack Caron, winner of the 50/50 raffle drawing, who took home $416.50. That’s some jack, Jack! (Jack is seen posing with some random bearded troll who was thrown off the property soon afterwards and hasn’t been seen since.)
Many thanks to all who helped make this major event possible, and fun! But don’t take our word for it. Volunteer Glenda Fischer, who started the Classic Car Show 10 years ago with her husband Ed and who continues to organize it every year, says:
“A great BIG THANK YOU to all the volunteers who helped at the car show! Many, many hands made the show a success despite the iffy weather and we are grateful for your help!”
Glenda wasn’t kidding: more than 30 volunteers were on duty on show day—quite a show in itself! Thank you to ALL who greeted visitors, parked cars, registered cars, gave tours, ran the simulator, staffed the store, provided directions to the bathroom, and did so many other tasks to make all our guests feel welcome. Special kudos to photographers Steve Heffelfinger and Norm Beaudette for all their images (check out the large gallery online) and to Bob Molloy for once again donating his services so we had a robust P/A system for tunes and announcements.
All in all, the show raised about $7,000 for the museum. Not bad for a day cut somewhat short by Mother Nature. We’re already looking forward to the 2027 Classic Car Show. But for now, check out this nifty video postcard of this year’s show put together by volunteer Kip Sheedy, who lately is giving Ken Burns a run for his money!

Vintage vehicles converge on museum grounds at Manchester airport; prizes, raffles, food trucks and more
It’s on! Get your gleaming roadster, awesome muscle car, or partially restored jalopy over to the Aviation Museum of N.H., where once a year the spotlight shines on vehicles that don’t leave the ground.

Vehicles of all makes and eras are welcome, including odd or unusual conveyances. It’s a great chance for proud owners to show off their completed projects or works in progress, and for the public to check out some amazing rides from all over New England.
The car show is held on the grounds of the Aviation Museum, with close-up views of the airfield action at nearby Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.
“It’s a great way to spend a summer day outside, checking out vintage vehicles while seeing old friends and making new ones,” said Jeff Rapsis, the Aviation Museum’s executive director.
Trophies will be given out for the People’s Choice Award and the Museum Award. All registered entrants will be included in a raffle with multiple winners of valuable prize packages. A separate 50/50 raffle will be held as well as a yard sale, with all proceeds to benefit the non-profit Aviation Museum.
