Thanks to all who contributed! Aviation Museum raises record $28,470 during 2026 NH Gives campaign

Donate to the Aviation Museum of N.H. during this year’s NH Gives online campaign and help unlock $10,000 in financial aid funding!

Thank you! A total 77 donors helped raise a record total of $28,470 for the Aviation Museum of N.H. during this year’s NH Gives 24-hour online fundraising campaign.

The funds raised will benefit the museum’s Summer Camp Scholarship Fund, which provides financial aid so young people can experience our ‘Flights of Discovery’ aviation camp regardless of a family’s ability to afford the full tuition.

Donors during the 2026 NH Gives campaign, held June 9-10, helped us max out two separate dollar-for-dollar campaigns: one for $10,000 from the Thomas W. Haas Charitable Foundation, and another $3,000 match from an anonymous donor.

This year’s total of $28,470 exceeded the Aviation Museum’s prior record of $25,915, which was posted during the 2024 NH Gives campaign. Also, out of more than 700 non-profits that took part in this year’s NH Gives, the Aviation Museum ranked 35th overall, and 7th in the Greater Manchester. That’s pretty impressive—and its all due to the generosity of donors who support our mission.

So thank you to all who contributed! Also, thanks to our friends at the Center for N.H. Non-Profits for organizing NH Gives each year, the N.H. Charitable Foundation for supporting it, and to N.H. Gov. Kelly Ayotte for hosting a State House rally last week to promote this year’s program.

Below, follow the excitement of this year’s campaign as captured in posts while donations were being made. Thanks again to all who donated—and see you next year!

LIVE UPDATES:

June 10: 7:45 p.m. We’re now at over $28,000, having maxed out our additional $3,000 match thanks to many generous donors. Wow! But now the question is: Can we make it to $30,000 before this year’s NH Gives campaign is in the books? We’ll keep the portal open through Friday, June 12 at 11:59 p.m. to accept late donations. Thank you for already making this a record year for the Aviation Museum’s NH Gives campaign, and please give generously so we can surpass $30,000.

June 10, 1 p.m.: We’ve made our $10,000 match, meaning we’ll have $20,000 to add to our Summer Camp Financial Aid fund. BUT WE’RE NOT DONE YET. As a stretch goal, an anonymous donor has made available $3,000 in additional matching funds for the remainder of NH Gives, which runs through 5 p.m. Added to the $20K already pledged, this would raise our total to $26,000—a new NH Gives record high for the Aviation Museum.

We can do it, but only with your help. Every tax deductible donation of any size will help get us there, and all donations will continue to be doubled dollar-for-dollar until we hit $26,000. Thanks and please give generously!

June 10, 12 noon: We’re up to $9,230 in donations. Closing in on our goal! If we reach it, stay tuned for a follow-up match we’ve arranged for to keep your contributions coming!

June 10, 9:15 a.m.: We’re up to $6,940 in donations so far. Wow! That’s fantastic—but we still have a ways to go to reach the $10,000 level and max out the generous $10,000 match offered by the Thomas W. Haas Charitable Foundation.

Can you help? A donation of any size will help get us there—and will be doubled thanks to this dollar-for-dollar matching program. If we reach $10,000 in pledges, we’ll receive $20,000 thanks to the match. All donations will be used for financial aid so kids can attend our life-changing ‘Flights of Discovery’ aviation summer camp regardless of a family’s ability to pay.

Last year, we awarded $28,000 in scholarships so kids could attend the camp, which is designed to inspire young people age 10-17 to pursue careers in the aviation and aerospace fields. This year, the need is even greater. Please give generously and help kids from all backgrounds find their place in the sky!

By the way, in totals so far, the Aviation Museum is currently ranks 28th in the entire state out of more than 700 non-profits participating in this year’s NH Gives program. And in the Greater Manchester region, we’re currently in 6th place. That’s pretty impressive, and due to the many generous supporters who’ve already donated. Please join them before 5 p.m.today—and give generously!

June 9, 5:20 p.m.: In the first 20 minutes, the Aviation Museum of N.H. has so far seen $2,250 in pledges to help kids attend our summer camp. With the match, that’s a total of $4,500! So we’re off to a fast start—in fact, we’re No. 11 in the entire state out of more than 700 non-profits in this year’s campaign. That’s terrific, but we have a long way to go before reaching our goal, and every donation of any size will help get us there. Please give generously!

Each year, the Aviation Museum receives dozens of applications for our ‘Flights of Discovery’ aviation summer camp from families with kids eager to attend, but unable to afford the full $1,400 tuition cost.

Financial aid via our Summer Camp Scholarship Fund fills the gap, enabling young people age 10-17 to take part in our potentially life-changing program regardless of a family’s ability to pay.

To support our Summer Camp Scholarship Fund, the Thomas W. Haas Charitable Foundation has pledged an astounding $10,000 to match contributions during this year’s online NH Gives campaign. The campaign, at www.nhgives.org, runs for just 24 hours: from Tuesday, June 9 at 5 p.m. to Wednesday, June 10 at 5 p.m.

The match means every dollar donated to the Aviation Museum during NH Gives will be doubled up to $10,000, all in support of financial aid for families so kids can attend our life-changing ‘Flights of Discovery’ aviation summer camp program.

But we can only claim all $10,000 in matching funds by receiving an equal amount in donations from the public. That’s where you come in! A tax-deductible donation of any size during NH Gives will help us max out this opportunity to replenish our Summer Camp Scholarship Fund.

Last year, the Aviation Museum awarded more than $28,000 in financial aid to qualifying families, giving several dozen young people the opportunity join in the potentially life-changing experience of our summer camp program.

Help young people say Yes! to aviation by supporting the Aviation Museum of N.H.’s Summer Camp Scholarship Fund. And right now, there’s no better way to do it than through this year’s NH Gives campaign, when all contributions will be doubled up to a total of $10,000 thanks to the generosity of the Thomas W. Haas Charitable Foundation.

If you’re considering a charitable gift this year to the non-profit Aviation Museum of N.H., this year’s NH Gives campaign is a great time to make it as any contribution will be doubled, maximizing your donation’s impact.

How to donate: Starting Tuesday, June 9 at 5 p.m., go online to www.nhgives.org. Search on “Aviation” and you’ll find us. Please give generously to help us max out this matching opportunity. The campaign runs just 24 hours, concluding on Wednesday, June 10 at 5 p.m. (Scan the QR code at right to visit our NH Gives page.)

The Aviation Museum’s $10,000 matching program remains in effect throughout the 24-hour campaign, or until the match is complete. Donors are encouraged to donate early to ensure their contributions to the Aviation Museum are doubled.

“It’s easy to donate online, and our $10,000 match during this year’s NH Gives means your charitable giving dollars will go twice as far in supporting our Summer Camp Scholarship Fund,” said Jeff Rapsis, executive director of the Aviation Museum of N.H.
