In 2025, we’re asking you to consider helping students at Farmington High School do something extraordinary: start a plane-building program!

We need $20,000 to complete the first phase of funding to set up this innovative program. Can you help us reach this goal?

Called the ‘Flying Tigers’ plane-build program (after the school’s mascot), the program is scheduled to start in September 2025. Students will work with volunteer mentors from the community to assemble a two-seat Van’s RV-12iS recreational aircraft.

Once up and running, the program will be funded by the sale of completed aircraft. However, to launch the program requires a minimum of $280,000 in start-up capital to pay for the first set of kits, set up a workshop, and cover many other expenses.

So far, the Aviation Museum has raised a total of $209,000. But we need your help. A donation of any size will help us reach our goal and complete the first phase of fundraising. It’ll take $20,000. Can you help?

And you don’t have to wait: we’ve already set up our ‘$20K Farmington Plane-Building Campaign‘ page to accept donations in support of the Farmington plane-build. Donate today! Your support will help the ‘Flying Tigers’ take the skies!
