This week, in advance of the coming holiday season, the Embraer 110 cockpit at the Aviation Museum of New Hampshire got a pair of new seats—well, new to us, anyway.
Volunteer Chris Lippincott has actually been working for months to prep the seats, which replaced an older pair of seats that were original to the cockpit but which were falling apart after years of heavy use.

Chris was able to get a fresh pair of seats donated from Wiggins Airways, our neighbor at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, which came from a more recent Embraer 110 currently being salvaged for parts.
The new seats will enable young museum visitors (and the young at heart) to enjoy a much more comfy experience during what is often a first-ever visit to an actual aircraft flight deck. (Although there’s no longer an aircraft attached to it.)
See the Embraer cockpit while visiting the Aviation Museum of N.H.; we’re open to the public Fridays & Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.

Two views of the work in progress.
