Calling all golfers! ‘Pilots and Drivers’ tourney coming on Friday, Sept. 27

A handsome foursome last year: volunteers Bob Doucette, Dan Kelly, Jim Zelonis, and Paul Scarlett.

We’re delighted to announce the upcoming 9th Annual ‘Pilots and Drivers’ golf tournament, coming this September and organized by our friends at the Granite State Airport Management Association, or GSAMA.

We say “friends” not only because GSAMA members do a lot to promote the state’s aviation community, but also because the group has been generous supporters of the Aviation Museum’s student plane-build project at the Manchester (N.H.) School of Technology.

And a major source of that support has been GSAMA’s annual golf tournament. Last year, the group donated an astounding $7,000 in golf tourney proceeds to the Aviation Museum in support of the plane-build program, which is now operating in three Granite State high schools in Manchester, Lebanon, and Farmington.

This year’s golf tournament is now on the horizon, scheduled for Friday, Sept. 27 at the Pease Golf Course, 200 Grafton Road, Portsmouth. As in recent years, GSAMA has committed to donating a portion of the event’s proceeds to the plane-build. So as you might expect, we encourage one and all to be involved.

You can do that by signing up to participate—ideally, by organizing a foursome. Or you can show your support by sponsoring the tournament, which brings together a wide range of notables in the state’s aviation community. To take the next step, here’s a link to the registration page on GSAMA’s website.

You’ll have fun, and be helping a good cause—us!
