Turtles Fly Too video now posted

Presenter David Dineen (left), a volunteer pilot with Turtles Fly Too, is introduced by Leah Dearborn, associate director of the Aviation Museum of N.H.

Turtle fans convened on Thursday, April 25 at the Aviation Museum to learn about ‘Turtles Fly Too,’ an organization that helps rescue, rehabilitate, and return sea turtles stranded in the cold waters off New England. Volunteer pilots then fly the turtles south to release centers so they can live to swim another day.

New: A recording of the program is now posted in our Video Library.

Presenter David Dineen, a pilot who has participated in Turtles Fly Too, covered how the program works and how people can help. The program, part of the Aviation Museum’s ‘Exploring Aviation’ series, was sponsored in part by Grappone Auto. If you couldn’t make it, enjoy these photos by volunteer Lois Dziergowski.
