Held Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024 at the Aviation Museum of N.H., 27 Navigator Road, Londonderry, N.H.
The Annual Membership Meeting of the Aviation Museum of New Hampshire took place on Thursday, Jan. 18 at the Aviation Museum.
Members and guests heard reports from board, staff, key volunteers. Members voted to confirm three board members starting three-year terms: first-time members Ray Chadwick of Nashua and Fred Kocher of Rochester; plus returning board member Bob Hough of Windham.
The meeting also saw the release of the Aviation Museum’s 2023 Annual Report.
During the meeting, called for by the museum’s bylaws, board President Bob DiMeo announced that the Aviation Museum will be partnering with Lebanon High School in Lebanon, N.H. and Farmington High School in Farmington, N.H. to bring the museum’s high school plane building program to two additional schools.
The meeting also featured guest speaker Kathleen Scholand, curriculum director for the Farmington School District, who thanked the museum community for choosing Farmington for a plane-building program.
Meeting remote access problems: It’s come to our attention that a number of members were unable to access the Annual Meeting remotely via Zoom, and thus were unable to participate. This was unfortunate and unintended, and was due to some unexpected technical issues on our part.
I apologize for this. The Annual Meeting is for all members, and we set up the Zoom call specifically to enable as many people as possible to participate. Although some were able to attend remotely, others were unable to join the meeting and eventually gave up after waiting.
While we can’t redo the meeting, we CAN get as much info out to all who take an interest in supporting the museum’s activities. To that end, we’re circulating the agenda as well as the draft minutes of the meeting so that all can get an idea of what was discussed. Also, in case you’d like to see the whole thing in real time, here’s the raw video footage of the meeting. If you’re asked for a passcode, try this: 0mR%m4Gs
Keep in mind the minutes are in draft form and still subject to approval by our board of directors. But we’re releasing them now so anyone interested in the meeting can review what happened.
A key purpose of the annual meeting is to give members an opportunity to question board members and staff, and also to make comments and suggestions. I want everyone to know that even if you were unable to attend the annual meeting, we welcome your questions, comments, and suggestions at anytime throughout the year.
Thank you to everyone for your support of the Aviation Museum of N.H. Please feel free to contact me at (603) 236-9237 or at email@example.com.
